"The first single I ever bought with my own money was from Giljays on Church Street and was Rain by Status Quo. It’s easy to forget but Quo were one of the cool bands before Punk exploded."

Seems to be a music journalist or presenter or some such. Don't recognise him if I'm honest. Largely associated with the punk movement. One of the cool bands before punk exploded? Happy Talk by Captain Sensible pretty much put paid to all that pretentious bollox

If you Google for Gary Crowley, one of the topics that comes up is "Where is Robert Elms today"?

Assuming it's the same one, he's interviewed Oasis / Gallagher's a fair few times over the years and may have presented an old music programme like The Tube or White Room or something years ago.

He was very well known in mid 80s mainly music, got wheeled out for rentaquote anytime something slightly shocking happened in music world.
I think he had a column in red top for a while aswell.
Minor punk celeb. I cant recall him ever dissing Quo(the real Quo).

Minor punk celeb. I cant recall him ever dissing Quo(the real Quo). Another guy that always turned up on music 'documentaries' was someone called Rick Sky. I'd never heard of him but I noticed he had a tendency to talk bollox every time he opened his mouth Charles Shaar-Murray was another. Although I do remember him from (I think) "Melody Maker" back in the day. He looks like he's been through the wringer these days. Makes Keith Richards look positively youthful. And with good teeth

Yes Charles Shaar Murray??.... Who?
Another nobody inside the London music clique/bubble nibody had ever hear of.
They maybe should have asked someone who has real knowledge of music like Danny Baker, who grew up knowing a alot bands personally and went to a lot of gigs?
