I've played the album more than Spare Parts, yes. I think this is a better produced or better wrote album than Sparte Parts, yes. I played the full album some months ago because I bought the album in cassette...But that's it. I think it was the first time in several years, and I don't think that I'm going to play that album in years.
About the songs, for example, my girlfriend doesn't seem to like Quo at all (not yet at least), but one day in my car, popped up the '99 remake of POMM, and to my surprise, she liked it. I'm planning to do a "hearing party" with her someday with the full album just to see what she thinks.

Have always loved this album. I'm a big fan of the psych era; albums such as Satanic Majesties, the Hollies 'Evolution', Magical Mystery Tour..etc, and Quo's 1968 opus is filled with memorable tunes and some great arrangements.
Far better than Spare Parts, this album and its B-Sides or associated tracks is actually one of my own favourite Quo albums. Those early Spectres/Traffic Jam singles/b sides are equally as good.
A unique sounding entry, given what followed from 1970 onwards, but a very worthy piece of their musical history.
