I listened to it live last night. To be honest here, I do not think Rossi has ever given an interesting interview. They always seem rather random, contradictory and repetitive most of the time(see what I did there!). So he says in this interview that he couldn't believe the reaction of the Hammy crowd during the reunion gigs, but he hated doing them. Also he states that they made bad decisions music wise during the 1980s, but he continued writing and performing sub standard material. I wont comment on his relationship with Rick as I feel that is personal to him.

listened to this today and i agree with most of the above comments and yes he does contradict himself all the time but i actually felt a little bit for him when he was discussing rick's passing as i wonder if the souring of their relationship was all Rossi's doing or the fact Rick wanted to continue living the high life of his rock star persona. but then again is he just saying what the harcore fans want to hear.......that's the real question.

Have just listened to said interview and 2 previous interviews on YouTube.
I can't take the man seriously, he contradicts himself so much it begins to sound like dodgy memory and opinion rather than what actually happened. Him and rick were friends for probably 35 years and yet he talks like it was 50/50. He wouldn't be where he is today without Alan and rick, and spud. This should be the main thread of these interviews, bearing in mind they probably spent more time on tour and in studio than with family. I find it unbalanced and having been in his company 3 times, I really liked him then, but his opinions now make me think hes not a bloke I'd want as a friend. Again he's outstanding musician, but aarhhh I like to like my heroes, especially musical ones, and I dont like him now, not that it would matter. 90% of quo was great and yet he talks about the bad times and blames rick and alan when he was away with fairies as they were trying to record. If alan had the same platforms, I think we might get a different story

Rick is dead so he can't exactly argue back and Alan, as you say, doesn't have a platform and is nowhere near as famous as Francis is so, he's never going to get asked. Easier to just blame them and spin the narrative. It's the entertainment business

The person he fell out with and demanded the band complete a farewell tour again. No wonder Rick’s children have nothing to do with him.
