You're in a car with someone who has never heard a Quo song. Which album would you put on? I would go for On The Level, something for everyone on this album, I reckon there would be at least one they would like.

Piledriver or Live.
Piledriver as it shows how good Quo could be musically. I rate A Year alongside any Beatles number Live because it showcases their musicianship too but, on a different scale and scenario...
ITABW for example is a brilliant song and it has it all BFM and 4500 Times slaughter the album versions and then some!

Depends who I am in the car with. If it was someone into the hard rock and metal then I would go with the Quo album. On the other hand if it was someone into more commercial, AOR or pop music, then I think Ain't Complainin' has a good number of well produced melodic rock tunes, so I would go with that.

The passenger is female, likes Enya and Spaudau Ballet.

Someone who has never heard a Quo song wouldn’t be a Rock fan most probably. So Quo Live wouldn’t work. In fact I would never use that album as an introduction. I would use BFY. It’s the start of a crossover. FF & Soft Rock. An easy on the ear introduction to all aspects of Quo !

Good choice but Is There A Better Way might be a shock to the system, it might work if the track listing was messed about with. OTL with Little Lady/Most Of The Time is a good opener.

All of my friends who like rock music doesn't like Quo at all (but I can see why you said that ). Every single review I heard is the phrase of "It all sounds the same". So except when I get angry (in that case f**k 'em, and I play whatever comes from the radio), if there are some friends in the car, I don't play Quo at all.
