Just noticed that it says "under 16's must be accompanied by an adult". If that had been the case in 1973 I'd never have seen the band!! Or any other gig until 1975. Life might have been so different Pathetic Tell me about a similar law in Spain...Not under 18 at any concept, and I lost the opportunity to see Quo 3 years before that age (well, and like 13 years in another opportunity), ZZ Top 4 months before my 18th birthday...Now I'm more than 18 and I can't go to any concert because nobody comes, pandemic aside...

This really paid off, they could fix three typos in one go! (I think nobody pointed out the third one yet?) Edit: Four typos! Four typos! [Sorry but I just couldn't resist this...]
4th Typo = It's not really Status Quo??
Side-splittingly funny. They were "Bridegwater Hall" and "Cardiffs". Thankfully now all corrected. Anyway. So Freddie is on tour with Quo. Am I allowed to make my request for "Bad News" this early on? I mean, that seems like a good occasion as any....

Anyone know what the centre of Birmingham is like these days for traffic access? I don't think I can be dropped off near enough to Symphony Hall. There is quite a big car park attached to the Hall near the Seaworld. (They keep changing the names so I don't know what it's called now. The main large Hall in the centre.) We used it a few years back when the Mr was unable to walk. I normally try and park a few blocks away and walk, but it's really difficult in central Birmingham, we've ended up in paid parking the last few times. I am getting philosophical about it. Also their bastard payment machines are more intelligent than me and I always end up having to call a warden to show me how to use them. The b****** barcode reader was UNDERNEATH the one by the O2, for example. I haven't made me mind up if we are aiming for Brum this time.

The Globe Theatre in Stockton-on-Tees was the biggest music venue in the North-East back in the 60s & early 70s. All the big names played there, The Beatles, The Stones... and Status Quo played there in December 1974. After that in 1975 it was shut down & turned into a bingo hall. The last couple of years it has been refurbished for £25 million & re-opens as a concert venue this year. They can remove the seats downstairs & it would be 3000 capacity. I know all this because it is 5 miles from where i live, so i will be going. "After that in 1975 it was shut down & turned into a bingo hall." So there's a chance to get a couple of lines in between the end of the show and the encore?

Here's one for the trainspotters. Anyone notice the 'Qoing' poster has the crowd silhouette with 2 electric guitars being held up & the revised 'Quoing' version the guitar has been changed to what looks like an Aquostic ? Nothing quite like going apeshit in a Quo crowd bringing along your own Aquostic to hold aloft, or are we into Beatles territory with hidden messages in the lyrics, posters & album covers ?
