Date in Dublin won't go ahead. The health authorities over here still won't open shops, bars or restaurants. In their advice to Government, they said live music, with people singing is a super spreader of different variants of the virus and should be banned for awhile yet. I'm not making it up. I have had to get my haircut on the sly. People caught getting haircuts are fined by the Police. If you travelled more than 5km, you could be fined up to 1000 quid Isn't it 20 km now?? 🤔

In defence, I think this is a bit of a litmus test, do many people genuinely want to mix with other people on such a scale just yet?
I dunno, but then again, neither does the promoter. BloJo is warning of another wave already.
They should do a tour of America, people would go to a gig for the sake of it and, you never know, they might find an audience.

Great news,I imagine these venues will sell very well after such a long gap and the lockdowns since the last tour. It also leaves the winter free for a select arena tour if tickets sales warrant it and I'm sure they will. 2022 will be a great year for musicians and fans alike, especially heritage rock acts. There could be some big surprises as to who goes back on the road and the band line ups. Oh! I can feel excitement rising. Will they play all night long? I surrender, you'll have to tell us. Hmmm, that might require both Graham and Joe on stage to do it properly. Still hell froze over for the Eagles, several times...

Actually on second thoughts good on the band for hitting smaller markets. People who for years and years have always had to travel to gigs are getting the band on their doorsteps. If they play Edinburgh, I might go as I and the better half do like a trip up there. Then I shall meet you for a small half of Tennent's. I'll join you both. Although make mine an Innes & Gunn Although, to be honest, I think the chances of them playing Edinburgh are probably quite slim. They haven't since 2006 (if you exclude Ingliston) and the Usher Hall (I believe) has had a serious makeover. They won't let us lot near it There is a serious shortage of concert venues in the capital city. They've gone all posh for the Festival crowd

Just noticed that it says "under 16's must be accompanied by an adult". If that had been the case in 1973 I'd never have seen the band!! Or any other gig until 1975. Life might have been so different Pathetic

The Globe Theatre in Stockton-on-Tees was the biggest music venue in the North-East back in the 60s & early 70s. All the big names played there, The Beatles, The Stones... and Status Quo played there in December 1974. After that in 1975 it was shut down & turned into a bingo hall. The last couple of years it has been refurbished for £25 million & re-opens as a concert venue this year. They can remove the seats downstairs & it would be 3000 capacity. I know all this because it is 5 miles from where i live, so i will be going.
