Hi All, These are some photos from when I spent a day with Alan Lancaster (and his wife and son) in Sydney. I bought a Lancaster bass that I had made for me and I asked the bloke who ran it could I travel to Sydney (from Bendigo) to pick it up and could I please meet Alan, as he'd named the guitars after him and apparently he had input into the guitars. Anyway, the bloke said yes, Alan's happy to meet me and present me with the bass. So I went to Sydney and Alan and his wife and son turned up and presented me with my bass and I thought, 'how awesome, I've met my all time idol, now it's time to go home'. But then Alan took us to the local pub and we (my wife and I) had lunch and few beers with the Lancaster's for about the next 3 hours, with Alan shouting our meals and drinks. His son then drove us to the station afterwards. He is such an awesome, likeable, generous, down to earth man, and very humble. As were his family. It was like having a few drinks and a chinwag with my super cool uncle. I remember he told me then that he'd met Rossi and that the FF were reforming but it wasn't common knowledge yet. Anyway, that's the story of my time with my idol. Addit: My avatar is a pic of me gigging with my Lancaster Bass.

Awesome man! Thanks for sharing I've got to say, I've never heard anyone, who has met or had an encounter with Alan, say a single bad word about their experience. From the stories I've been told and read, he seems like a great guy.

Thankfully, I can't play bass or any other musical instrument, which spares me from being exceedingly jealous!
