And that's probably beacause Rhino did so on the LNOTE when Freddie was there and Richie not an official member...as he became one they didn't want to take away from him. And I can understand this

I like Rhino and don't wish to slag him off. Got no problem with him singing his own songs, I have his albums.
It'd be better though, surely, to drop Rain? Rhino's voice is not naturally close to Rick's

I fully appreciate Rhino as a long term member of Quo and hes defo helped keep their legacy alive but I reckon Francis knows full well Rhinos voice just doesn’t do the band justice No offence but his voice doesn’t cut clear... it’s similar to a pub karaoke voice. You must go in some real low down karaoke bars! Well if I can stand up n sing a Hank Williams classic’Theres A Tear In My Beer’ .. and come second, then I’m sure Rhino wailing on with Rain May just Pip me 🤪

Rhino's voice is not naturally close to Rick's Commenting on the vocals of Edwards is not ‘slagging’ him off. I think his vocals are poor. With Ricks passing he should sing as little as possible. If harmonies are needed Andy and Richie or Leon would be a better choice. As long as he sings so much I wouldn’t even consider seeing the band again.

I didn't say it was , although of course commenting can be done in different styles Hopefully "Edwards" is thick skinned by now

He quite rightly won’t give a monkeys what others think.

Actually I think his voice could work in the right song but not in the kind of rock music that Quo is playing. He has a unique voice so maybee it could work in some story telling avantgarde rock. I'm not a fan of Andy's singing either and actually I think it's less interesting.

I like Rhino's first album quite a bit and Andys unfinished business is quirky but good Rhino singing Gravy Train, bad news etc live for Quo would be good. Rain... less so

Don’t mind Mr Edwards vocals at all when I’ve seen him with his own band, sounds great perfectly suited to the music . Bad News would have been a great addition to the live Quo set. Can do without him singing Rain though or any of Ricks stuff with FRQ. Cheers

With Ricks passing he should sing as little as possible. If harmonies are needed Andy and Richie or Leon would be a better choice. As long as he sings so much I wouldn’t even consider seeing the band again. One song & bits of one other is not "so much" for someone who's been in the band for such a long time and already had a couple of lead vocals on studio albums. (Never mind Backwater, which has been dropped, although I'm among those who actually thought it was interesting because he gave it a bluesier feel.) Actually I think his voice could work in the right song but not in the kind of rock music that Quo is playing. He has a unique voice so maybee it could work in some story telling avantgarde rock. Gravy Train seems like a better fit because Rhino wrote it, but like Rain, it was originally sung by Rick!

Gravy Train/Bad News - pretty much the same tune. Doubt Rhino would have been allowed to sing both of his compositions on one album! Maybe him and Rick tossed a coin?

Well I wouldn't say they're the same tune. They're both in the key of B, they are driven by Rhino's rhythm guitar and the vocals are written in a way that works with his voice.
But Rick didn't really write that much (at least that made the albums - see also Heavy Traffic), plus Gravy Train fit his personality, more so than Bad News.
