Ok everyone likes 4500 times, BFM etc etc. But these are widely played and known
That’s your favourite lesser known tracks. I means ones that you just love
For me I would list
Coming and Going - one of my favourites, period. Just a relentless groove on one chord. Awesome. Great riff and got that early eighties doomy vibe that I love
Who asked you - top ten for me. Lovely melody and arrangement
Young pretender - just like the melody and the chorus is great.
Mountain lady. Probably my top 3 all time favourite Quo tracks.
Any more??

A few tracks, that rarely get any press, spring to mind...
'Shy Fly' a track from Ma Kelly's that for me could transcend the limitations of whatever musical trends are in charge in any given decade and still cut the mustard. Could imagine hearing it as a trailer for something or other today and it would get the public guessing as to who the band are/were. A melodic musical force of nature. Has some of the traits that would become Quo's trademarks in time with the stop-starts and the solo guitar riffing before the band crashing back in.
'Lakky Lady' another track from the Ma Kelly's stable. An acoustic track that drives along. Quo using 9th type chords! What's going on?! Lyrically it's not much to get excited about but again a track that could keep the public guessing today as who the band were/are.
'Hard Ride' in 3rd place as not quite in same class as the above but a latter day Alan L composition that surprised me at the time and especially when the harp break appeared out of the blue in a Railroad kind of a way.

There aren't really any lesser known songs from the 70's, not here anyway!
Really there's only b sides and unreleased stuff to pick from.
AB blues is great, love that Rick plays lead

AB blues is great, love that Rick plays lead This is a completely fair point. Between 70 and 82, i could tell you every album track and the b sides of the singles. After that it is very hit and miss. I often have no idea what songs people are discussing post Alan. Even albums I know a bit like Heavy Traffic, I can't say I know all the songs.

Indeed, I'm taking "lesser known" to mean songs that weren't hits or regularly featured in the live set, which for me means "back in the day" - whatever that means!

Almost too many to mention. And as already said, pretty much anything they recorded between 1971 and 1976. If we take it a little beyond that, Coming And Going, Take Me Away and I Should Have Known have always got my juices flowing. Post-86? Again, there are loads. But these stand out as the tracks I tend to keep returning to: Overdose Good Sign Making Waves Solid Gold Goodbye Baby My Little Heartbreaker Any Way You Like It Run And Hide (The Gun Song)
Good band this

Rare 70's songs.....not much is there?
Rearrange Shifting Sand One by one
Would still be nice if they finished shifting sands off as they did with One by one.
