I usually avoid these people, they are filed under "Oh no, not that wanker" but I thought it's on Prime so why not. There's a series on there called Manhattan about the first atomic bomb and it's worth a look. I'll see your list of shit actors and raise you Matt Goss. I heard him deliver this classic line while lying ill on the sofa unable to reach the remote. The film was a two bob version of Lord Of The Rings on some shite channel. The premise was that to defeat the bad guys the good guy had to find the chalice of the phoenix and get it down his neck. The immortal dialogue occurred when he told a group of followers " I am on a quest to drink from the fiery cup"..fantastic. I imagined the blokes he recruited earlier saying "I thought he said furry when we joined, I'm going back home" I'm pleased to say that I haven't a clue who Matt Goss is - it's going to stay that way!
When I read your '...find the chalice of the phoenix and get it down his neck' line, I have to admit that I thought, God that's a BIG mouth to fit a chalice down his neck - but of course its the contents not the actual cup, having said that tho' some of these guys/films are SO shit-poor anything is likely!!
I CONSTANTLY wonder who funds these hopelessly rubbish things? AND then I imagine the 'pitch' that the maker [or whoever] comes up with... 'Yeah - I'm seeing a big golden chalice and the guy has to swallow it to find the [insert improbable object here]' 'Yeah GREAT Bob [it's always Bob] - but don't you mean the stuff IN the chalice?' 'No no no Tony, [also, ALWAYS Tony] - it's the actual chalice - y'see he's a Pelican!! Aha, Yes, you didn't see that coming did you??' 'BRILLIANT Bob - how much do you want' Blah blah blah.
🤢🤣
There was a huge tax dodge in the 2000's involving the financing films, only a very small link to the British film industry was required. HMRC closed that loophole a few year back and wanted the money in unpaid taxes. David Beckham, Gary Lineker, Martin Keowan, Robby Savage,Danny Murphy and a host of others had to pay money back. This explains the presence of a lot of the pundits on tv, they are not qualified to coach or manage and are basically unemployable elsewhere. Stephen Gerrard was involved but had the good sense to become a qualified coach and now manages Rangers in Scotland.

This is going around at some Odeons right now, we went last night and even though I know this film inside out it is totally different on the big screen. If it's in your area I recommend going. Vaders voice booming out in a cinema is great, he's a seriously ruthless nasty bastard.

Even went to a marathon type thing once (the 80's maybe?) where they showed all 3 one after the other on the big screen. That was doing the rounds. Never really took to the films made after that. Not sure why. They maybe took themselves a bit too seriously. Seemed that way.

Last year I saw people playing Quidditch on Clapham Common, nearly buried the car into a Plane tree I was laughing so much. Holding a broom between my legs while wearing a cloak and running up and down is as funny as dressing up at a convention..I know where to draw the line lol.

Hi All, I'll get the swearing out the way first KATHLEEN KENNEDY!!! … that's better, this woman and her terrible choices has single handedly wrecked Star Wars and reneged on the agreement she gave George Lucas (On camera ) of continuing the Star Wars story how he envisioned the next films to be even giving the next trilogy outlines again she promised to use them and never did (Now consigned to what was that bin ?).
The Force Awakens basically an updated version of EpIV but still good in my opinion and a great jumping off point for the following VIII & VIV but Pc culture and Reean Johnson (Kennedy's boy) ruined the films especially the stand alone Solo that alone had its own production problems, let alone Luke just throwing his fathers Lightsaber away as if it was junk in ROTJ... basically just not sticking to the vision or anywhere near what George was promised. The only light on the horizon appears to be ' The Mandalorian ' and this is simply because John Favreau stuck to Georges ethos and not pandering to outside influences as so many things do across the board these days sadly...
Anyway back on subject...
I watched a lovely made for Tv BBC comedy film call Pat And Margaret (1994) via YouTube, basically with all the 'Acorn Antiques' cast plus others, if you like AA and Victoria's Dinner Ladies along with her stand up then you should find it a giggle in the right places IMHO....
Starring:- Victoria Wood,Julie Walters,Celia Imrie,Deborah Grant,Duncan Preston,Dame Thora Hird,Shirley Stelfox and Anne Reid.
A tabloid reporter seeks dirt on a glamorous soap star (Julie Walters) reunited with her dowdy waitress sister (Victoria Wood) on British television.

I saw the new Christopher Nolan film called Tenet the other day. What a pile of self indulgent, confusing and badly acted in some parts crap. Talk about the emperor's new clothes!

Somebody mentioned this in January but this is surprisingly good, bit of a bloodbath but it's gritty and nasty with no sign of the usual shite associated with this series. The bad guys are really bad.

Hi All, One for the petrol heads this time, I watched Steve McQueen's Le Mans 1971 (Via BBCi - Available until 22/09). Not to much of a test on his acting talents but just a good old fashioned film about motor racing focusing on an fictional battle between Porsche and Ferrari......
Starring:- Steve McQueen,Siegfried Rauch,Elga Andersen,Ronald Leigh-Hunt,Fred Haltiner,Luc Merenda,Christopher Waite,Louise Edlind,Angelo Infanti, Jean-Claude Bercq,Michele Scalera,Gino Cassani,Alfred Bell and arlo Cecchi.
If your interested the films history of why and how the film got made check out :- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Mans_(film)

Hi All, Decided to watch Harry And The Hendersons 1987 (Via Netflix). I have been watching www.youtube.com/user/proguide66 channel and listening to his sasquatch stories (Not the bullshit TV series) it gave my interest a prod. The last time I watched this film was when my daughter wanted to watch as a youngster, a bit dated these days but still funny in all the right places and like all films it's down to the individual and whether they are (funny in this particular case) whatever, you like what you like and that's it.....
Starring:- John Lithgow,Melinda Dillon,Margaret Langrick,Joshua Rudoy,( Kevin Peter Hall,Tom Hester,Tim Lawrence,Fred Newman,Mitch Laue [Puppeteers / Harry actor and Voice] ),Lainie Kazan,Don Ameche,David Suchet,M. Emmet Walsh,William Dear,Laurie O'Brien and John Bloom.
While returning from a trip in the woods, George Henderson (John Lithgow) and his family run into something with their car that turns out to be a Sasquatch. Thinking the creature is dead, they take him home, but "Harry" (Kevin Peter Hall) soon awakens. Despite their initial fears, Harry is a kind and sensitive being, and the Hendersons become very fond of him. However, it is difficult to keep him a secret, and soon they begin to fear for Harry's safety.
