Gary Oldman is brilliant in this very wild performance pre Drexil in True Romance

I watched this classic the other night. My wife saw it was on and said "I hate this crap, it's all sitting in cafes or hiding round corners".

Can't make up my mind whether I liked this or not... [Mind you I thought I was on a sure thing when Fanny's opening words were "...horses arse..." 😉

In a word... 'disappointing'
[In more words... "why not just be done with it, get Van Damme to do it, at least our expectations will be dramatically lowered".

If you like gentle, comedy character stories, I'd recommend this. Also a big fan of Harry Dean Stanton who I think was in his 90s when he made this film. Really moved by it and there is some great dialogue too.

Best version of the US National Anthem I've ever heard - I laughed for about a week!!

Thanks gerh. I've heard of The Dish but never seen it. I'll check out some time. Last night, I watched Gregory's Girl which I haven't seen since it came out. Its delightful if you want to escape from the doom and gloom of our times. The only moment I remembered was his date with Clare Grogan. Such a sweet moment.

Interesting one coming to Netflix on 21st May for fans of Zombie films. Army Of The Dead. It looks from the trailer like it should be worth a watch.

Great movie, great sound track and great ending. I didn't even know this one existed 'til the other day.
