Fans seem to have enjoyed a great first night. Wish I was there in Glasgow.

It was last night? Mrs Mortified never said. In fact, neither did sis. And they usually get all the reports on the Book of Faeces. Or did I read that it was down (down) again last night?

You missed a blinder!! Big Fat Mama were Awesome/Magnificent/Brilliant/Fantastic….. they nailed it! 2 hours of pure bliss!! They played quite a few lesser or never played tracks Lonely Man and Drifting Away among them! They are the first band (including Quo) that I have ever seen that play Just Take Me as it is on the album… (with the extra couple of bars in the guitar break at the end!) I loved it! Having a ball here in the Solid Rock Bar in Glasgow - Little Blue Eyed Lady rockin out !

Absolutely awesome 👌👏 Big fat Mamma, as Viv says, we're fantastic and a great set. SOQ were as usual awesome. And JCQ were excellent 👌 John obviously struggling slightly but hey, he is 75. Very emotional when he read the letter sent from Alans wife.. 😔
All in all a belter of a weekend. Great to see so many of the Quo army again after 18 shitty months.
Now for Minehead...👍🙋♂️

Yes that letter was really difficult for John to read, he was very emotional. Dayle wrote about his illness and how he had struggled but had a very high pain threshold. Mainly she wrote about how much Alan loved his music and playing and especially how he loved the fans. I think she said he was so grateful for the reception he got, particularly during the reunion tours. A lot of people filmed it, I’m sure it will be on YouTube or FB…

Reminded me of when we saw John play after Rick left us. And I think he read out something then too. Not from family but that's what I remember. Very moving again. Sounds like a fabulous event overall too.

Isn't it strange [but no, maybe it isn't?] that the 2 'jettisoned' FF members seem(ed) to be more in touch with what the, ahem... 'older fan' feels? I don't know JC from a hole-in-the-ground, but he seems to be a solid human being, and that's good enough for me.

Is McVention 2023 confirmed? Dates? Tickets? I'll be in the UK in October 2023 so hopefully can make it to this convention for the first time.
