We’re Quo the warm up in 74 ?? Very surprised if they were. Never heard of Snafu. Bet Quo saw them off quickly !! Was beginning of 76 before I came on board.

Snafu were the support act. They featured one Micky Moody, later of Young & Moody and Whitesnake of course.
I don't think all of these dates will have been with Quo. East Ham Granada for example. Although I could be wrong.
They were promoting what I think was their debut album, Situation Normal.
This tour seems quite late in the year because I'm sure Quo toured in the spring of '74 promoting the Quo album with Montrose. Think there's another thread about that.

This was the tour in support of Down Down, at least in my head. Just checked my programme from that tour, the cover is a shot from The Midnight Special and the rear inside inside flap advertises the three Vertigo albums against a Quo album cover backdrop with "New Single - Down Down" added. They did play East Ham, I wanted to go but as no easy way to get back to Paddington in time for the last train, I did just the one night at Hammersmith.

I think I have that programme and I think you put me on to it. Or gave me it coz you had two. Or some such. A tour to support a single? Any excuse in them days. I bet they didn't even play it either! Don't think they did till '77. That would have been Quo alright

They did play it for a brief period in 1975. In the Madrid gig footage Rossi can be seen wielding a Strat with a capo at the 4th fret and introducing the song but the film then cuts to something else.
