Mustang Bass should be knighted in recognition of his tireless work providing interesting snippets to Quo fans at a time of intense shite! Many many thanks !! And how clever was the reviewer who predicted another 50 years? Interesting his comments that the sound could work in any decade. I think the band thought it was a 70's sound, hence the need to change it. That reviewer was wise!

Sir M B . Just to echo that these old reviews have been an absolute joy be it good or bad.

One of their very best. Love the first review “amazing how the band can find so many new things in such a limiting format “. Cheers

I'm shocked that the 3rd review is incomplete! What did the reviewer say after: "Needless to say then, the ......"?

I'm shocked that the 3rd review is incomplete! What did the reviewer say after: "Needless to say then, the ......"? The killer white rabbit killed him before he could finish his review is my guess

I'm shocked that the 3rd review is incomplete! What did the reviewer say after: "Needless to say then, the ......"? Someone told them to stop being so negative, so they did.

they could do no wrong here . then suddenly it all stopped. a real mystery Thats right, saw them here in 75,76, then 78 in Sydney then they simply vanished. These days with internet/social media you could follow but back then, bar for the occasional album, it all ended until that 1997 tour. I got tickets and feared there’d be very few present for the Canberra gig but was totally blown away with an almost sold out show. They still put out a great show but a mere shadow to those ‘70s gigs.

Possibly Quo's finest album? What To Do and Over And Done are vastly underrated tracks.

Possibly Quo's finest album? What To Do and Over And Done are vastly underrated tracks. Agree about Over And Done. The twin guitar work in that is a wonder to behold. Sometimes Francis and Rick could be mesmerising when they wanted to.

One of their very best. Love the first review “amazing how the band can find so many new things in such a limiting format “. Cheers I never, as a guitarist, thought they had a limiting format, but I'm a musician, not long forgotten music journo.
