Where they started mining gold. What a glorious 7 years '70-'76, 7 fantastic studio albums & a classic double live album, will we ever see the like again?

A 'very clever little group' wonder when and if they have ever been called that since. The album cover may not have portrayed the obvious change in musical style ( rectified later with Piledriver) although clear to me, the frilly shirts had gone.

I'm not a huge fan of the album if I'm honest. Not in it's entirety anyway. There are one or two wonderful gems, though, and it was a sign of things to come. April Spring Summer & Wednesdays is a magnificent track. When they played it live during the reunion, I nearly wet meself It remains a stand-out from that tour. I love Lakky Lady and Shy Fly as well. The rest is just a wee bit too raw for me; a band learning and perfecting it's craft. Almost but not quite there I like the sleeve as well. Put it this way, I'd rather have enigmatic than an Indiana Jones cartoon. The art for the Quo album is how that should have been tackled. Interesting reviews. Fairly non-committal but not overly critical.

This isn't one of my favorites either. I really like Daughter, Shy Fly, Need Your Love and bits from April, Spring and not the whole Is it really me/Gotta go Home thing. Also, who's the lady on the cover? They found her on an ugly models agency or something like that? Sometimes I thought she was a man

I was really thinking of the odds on another band coming along nowadays & having a great run of releases akin to that produced by Quo 1970-76, I just can't see it happening again.
