I love how by this stage of their career they were considered old men. Meanwhile I prefer Alan’s vocal on ORB Cheers

When they really had run out of thought, energy or decency.
A money grabbing piece of excrement.

Quite like the track. Bass line gets me pumping.
I prefer the version with Francis singing. Nothing to do with Alan's voice, he sings it just as good. The drums in his version sound flat is all
Seems a bit unfair...
"Hey Alan, we know you want to sing on it but, we're going to have Francis sing on it instead...And, we're going to have Rick sing the breakdown. Basically, get the fuck off the track!"
A lot of things that were said that went on, recording that album, don't sit well with me. The alleged going behind everyone's back and re-recording GDTT, the TCTTG vocal thing, the alleged "MT is for my solo album"... If any of them are true, that's just bad form.

Really like it
Francis said a year later something like "we tried to change the sound on the album but it still came out sounding the same...the albums got worse "
This is the track where changing the sound went well. I can't really imagine it being done with a different arrangement

A poor single from an even poorer album. I even turned to Nik Kershaw But yet another review where the writer isn't really interested. This isn't a " chunka-chunka-chunka" track. If it was, I'd have probably liked it

Once John had left the subsequent recorded output just didn't quite sound sufficiently Quo like for me. Although this was one of the better tracks, imo, if you forget about it being Quo.

I like Alan's vocals but not the backing track. The Francis/Rick version seems to be more polished with some effects to the drums added, never liked this track too much either.
Never understood why Alan was almost completly erased from the track, knowing was his track, except from the 12" version of the single. I've started thinking that maybe his bass track was also erased and the album version was played by...I don't know, Andy.
