All Stand Up. It's one of my post implosion favourites, but somehow it never delivers on its promise. I've not idea if Spud and Alan would change it, but It would be the one track worth experimenting on.

It lacked something, and now that you've mentioned it I don't think the rhythm section drove the song, the guitars did.

Had dreams of a new FF albumn in 2013/14. Wouldn't have minded if they'd have tried it.

A combination of Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin and Neil Peart couldn't save that abomination.

If you could choose one song from the post-JC era, that would have both he and AL (after 1983) provide their own tracks instead of whatever session musicians were on the original recording, which song would that be? In other words, what song might have been great with a real rhythm section?
Howabout every single track post 81. JC and Al wouldn't have been able to salvage all the turds but they sure as hell would have sounded that much better. Mind you, saying that, it would have all been classified as the REAL Status Quo and that would have far worse implications than being recorded under the Quo Mark II, III, IV incarnations.

I will suggest Gravy Train.
Firstly get rid of the Edwards vocal and put Alan on instead (would be a massive improvement) and slow it down so that it has a groove rather than the ham fisted boogie that is so clumsy and not effective.

I'm nothing if not magnanimous. I get that you love Tommy, sorry, I think it's horrific. By the way, if you want to bash me, there's a Quo hater on youtube who I've been arguing with. You could join him and pile on the bash-fest.
