This one - from the 80s when I was looking for other things that COULD have that magical Quo sound. Don't tell me the 1.5 bars of solo guitar also don't sound like Francis, only, he would have done more of it and better, if he hadn't lost his will to rock.

Lots of Slade tracks remind me of Quo but they were both making similar music at the time. Definitely that one. It has that dry vocal sound and concertration on the guitars of some of Quo's best.

I hesitate to post this..... as to whether anyone will believe me.
Around 11 years ago, I hadn’t listened to Quo for about 15 years. I hadn’t seen them since 1993.
Then “Don’t upset the rhythm” by Noisettes was released. It’s a great song. Beautiful singer too 😍
The pre-chorus in that song has a hard driving, basic rhythm which reminded me of Quo.
After hearing that, I downloaded some Quo and got back into them. I got tickets to see them in Nottingham. And 3 years later saw the FF. Met John Coghlan, got a selfie with him 🎸🎸

After Bram Tchaikovsky left The Motors in 1978 he released a single called Sarah Smiles. Great song and I bought the record. Added bonus was that the B-side 'Turn On The Light' was just as good and reminded me of Quo quite a bit:

Very Quo-like tune from the late Deke Leonard of Welsh rockers Man.

I think Quo may have taken some inspiration from this for Rock 'n' Roll 'n' You

Strongly suspect that Abba took some inspiration straight from Quo for this number It's better than RR&Y too.

Not saying it sounds like Quo or references Quo. It's a good simple song but at around 1:37 the most amazing headbang starts, only Quo made me feel like this, I don't know much about musical terminology but what they do at 2:06 is to die for. I saw this band live in 1982 and only a full on Quo on top form has ever bettered that gig...they were that good. It works best turned up really loud and your equalizer on Pop.

Should we wonder where this Norwegian band got their influences from?
