What songs have bits in them that just scream Quo to you when you hear them?
One for me is Slade’s Run Runaway - the shuffle in the middle is great.
This would have been brilliant had Quo done it - I can totally imagine being down the front in the Secc’s Hall Four jumping about mad to this

To my ears cammy, Slade's 'Run Runaway' could have been something from the 'Big Country' songbook! ...lightly seasoned with a bit of Quo. Chicken or the egg...but when my dad used to play his album version of Bob Dylan's 'Watching The River Flow' in the mid 70s I would think Quo! Actually think Quo could have covered that track and added something of their own. When my daughter was a few years younger, she was completely taken with the 'Horrible Histories' TV shows and in particular the Horrible Histories Songs. I'm not being flippant here when I say that I must have heard the songs possible a hundred times over the years and as soon as I hear their 'Blue Blooded Blues' song or the 'Henry the Seventh' song I can't get Quo out of my head! Some say the 'Henry the Seventh' song is Bowie, The Sweet etc, which undoubtedly it is but with a smattering of Quo for me!

These two old favourites of mine always reminded me of Quo. I love this Oasis track but I have no idea why I associate it with the overall Quo sound. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's just in the structure and melody of the song. It's certainly less obvious than something like Roll With It.
Moon Martin I've loved as an artist since I first heard this in the late 70's.

Primal Scream - Country Girl AC/DC - Go Down
I remember thinking The Way You Make Me Feel and Gold On The Ceiling were Quo sounding but, that was just because of the rhythm of both songs, nowt else
Pretty much any Oasis song between 1994 and 1997, especially Digsy's Dinner and It's Getting Better Man

This ain't gonna go down well but the first time I heard All Around My Hat back in the early 70s I said to the guy playing it "That's the Quo riff". With a bit of commitment and a (completely) different production they could have done a fantastic version. Once Bitten Twice Shy was a great choice as a cover too but they cut it short and did a 'by numbers' recording of it and it was sh1t. Oh, and this is a great Quo-esque song

When I first heard this I thought it had a bit of a 1 + 9 + 8 + 2 // Back To Back vibe to it.

Well in my band we've put bits into songs a couple of times that in rehearsal we have referred to as the Quo bit. Happens at 2:22 in the song, Fast Car Smell
Then at 2:35 during the track, (Bunch of) Cowboys.

For some strange reason, I just love that Mooi Wark song, very catchy, very Quo in some ways, a bit like Burning Bridges maybe! I've played it a few times already. Anyone know what the title means? Are they Norwegian?

Another song that's screams some Quo is from Swedan's Eddie Meduza. Nice mix of Quo and Dave Edmunds. Not unlike the Mooi Wark song above.
