Yeah, they played it in the 60s on their BBC sessions eg Brian Matthew.
I’d have lived them to do this in the encore in 2013 or 2014.
In fact, I’d love to hear this if Quo tour again - something I’ve not heard them do live .
I’ve no idea who did the original?

The original was written by an American songwriter called Larry Bright. I think it's been covered by a number of artists over the years, although how Alan and Francis heard it, I have no idea. Might have been put forward by the record company I suppose.

It's a good one, not a fan of them covering stuff but when they let rip informally at rehearsal's it's fantastic. I love the way that one of the band will start off and then the moment when Coghlan picks up the tune and joins in.

what was cool about that rehearsal footage was you could tell even though they have not played together for decades they could read each other and just join in at any moment.
