Y'know the one, where you put the hands on the hips and swing from side to side? Yeah, that one...Anyone who has ever done that in their lives, please step forward now so you can be shamed!! I've never seen it done in my life at a Quo gig and it's fabulously cringey, eyeball rolling and it gives me the shits

Genuinely makes me feel unwell seeing people do it As soon as I saw them start doing it on the recent charity video with Leon for Rockin, I had to turn it off

The problem is that many people put their hands on their hips & vaguely wave their arms around like some kind of demented chicken - a chicken with no sense of timing.
I've seen it done by lines of people, mainly blokes, & the the two lines are like the front row of a rugby scrum & the whole thing is performed with energy & aggression - powerful to witness or be part of, which I have been, back in the day. I'd probably put my back out now!

That dance was originally a dance to the song Tiger Feet by Mud. That is what it’s known for historically.

It brought it all back. I tried to repress it but, there it was again, haunting me...Taunting me. Traumatic

Yeah remember this cropping up a few years back. And yes it can be cringing when Aunt Maude has a go during raotw
Agree with Dennis. I've seen biker groups very aggressively do this (and similar) in lines to Dr Feelgood ,Quo and others . It looked very cool !
Ive tried and failed to learn what the name is and when it started. Perhaps part of the problem with googling / finding out is not knowing the name ! Maybe there isn't one ?

The only time I’ve seen Quo fans fo it was on the End of the Rosd video.
Given Joe Public won’t have watched it, I have no idea why they think it’s a Quo thing
I hate it !!

Used to see lines of people doing that type of thing in rock clubs back in the '80s. It looked absolutely ridiculous then and time has not changed my opinion.

I suppose for non-rockers it's a genteel form of headbanging.
