I was going to say that 'Status Quo' passed away a long time ago, 30 years or more ago!
Seriously though. RIP Mr Status Quo.
I did see him at a few events but not in the last few decades.
The band (Francis and Rick) knew him quite well and called him by his deed poll change first name 'Status'.
I remember him being asked one time on video about what people might think of him, his name change and his obsession with the band and he said:-
"i don't give a monkeys".
Sounds about the right philosophy to me.
(I also thought he was Scottish)

Thirty minutes too late, she's obviously more cynical than me.

Maybe...but I wonder if the comment would have appeared if the post would have had Mr. before the title I was going to add James Hall in brackets, but I couldn't entirely remember if that was his name before changing it to Status Quo

Status Quo on the RTYD doc was very clearly Scottish. Worked in the offshore oil industry i believe. To be honest, i can't imagine someone from Kent and an Aberdonian ever understanding each other.
RIP.

From the comments on FB it appears he was Scottish but lived in Kent for many years. RIP Mr Quo

That's sad news. I never met him and only knew of his existence from the RTYD video; Rick calling out from a car "there's old Status". Something like that.
RIP, Mr Hall.
