What is it? Presumably the wanderer, but which is the last TV performance of it and can someone post a date and a link?
Thanks

His last TV appearance with the band (pre-reunion) was Live Aid, surely?

Actually I wonder if this is it:
Broadcast 29.10.1984
Rick looks considerably thinner than this earlier top of the pops appearance only 4 days earlier.

Actually that would be a decent little project. A post with a time line of all the tv appearances from The wanderer to Rollin home. Including Rossi / frost
Might do that ....

I was going to mention this, but it turns out Alan wasn't even present for it... so nevermind Doing a bit of digging here, and this seems to be at an event called "Veronica's Autosport Gala" in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. "Rock 'N' Roll" was also performed, bizarrely - perhaps it was a big hit there?
No broadcast date to be found on the internet for the Toppop performance in the Netherlands.
It might be reasonable to assume that this 'Veronica' video was recorded after Alan had done his promo appearances for the single around Europe (Top of the Pops/Toppop and whatever else), and gone back home to Australia?
Might also be reasonable to assume this was a winter performance in a big, cold shed, hence the scarves! So can't have been too long after the release of the single.
However, nothing on Google about such a gala in Leeuwarden in 1984, so perhaps it was early 1985? There is mention of that year.
Also, a strange German TV appearance on YouTube of "The Wanderer" without Alan, and some nuns standing in the background of a stately home - again, no date.
So who knows? Which "Wanderer" appearance was Alan's last? Top of the Pops, or Toppop, or some other that can't be found on YouTube.
There is a Dutch section of this board, right? Maybe someone there will know all about this?
On a side note, there is footage of Quo performing at a "Veronica's Strandrace" (outside venue this time) in the Netherlands in 1990, doing "The Anniversary Waltz (Part One)".

I'm thinking it was February 1985, as both Francis and Rick attended a Fan Club convention briefly in Zevenaar Netherlands around this time, so it would make sense. There's also this performance of The Wanderer, again without Alan. No date, just says Germany 1984 And another 1985 Dutch TV appearance with them playing Rock N' Roll The TOTP performance is from October, and he'll have been in the UK already anyway with Quo being in the studio in September and then recording the video for The Wanderer in October.

gav that Top pop wanderer performance in the description on Yourube says 29.10.1984 Band aid was Xmas 1984 although that was purely R and P I had no idea they did TV appearances under the Quo name in 1985 Do we have a date for that Rock n roll performance? Then Rossi’s and Bernie Frost appeared on Wogan in April 1985 Then Cheggers plays pop in June 1985 One month before live aid

So - Live Aid
Wikipedia says ITAN was recorded September 1985 to feb 1986
February 1986 - Alan loses the lawsuit
Did they record the whole album without his knowledge?
April 11th 1986 - quo’s back playing in Dubai as a warm up and shooting the Rollin Home video.
Then we skip to 15th May 1986 for the new band playing Rollin home on TOTP
So there’s a gap of just under a year of TV inactivity between Live Aid and Rollin Home?
Any appearances in that time?

Any appearances in that time? think theres one or two interviews on the OGWT in 85... other than that, Rick and Francis went on the Evening With Quo tour, here and there, to help rekindle their friendship, and they'll have been in the studio from September through to Feb the following year recording Army

Edited previous post -
October 1984
Another example of Rick getting shirty because Francis answered his question .... what was that about being number 2 in the band?

That's from 13th Nov 1984, same month the EOTR VHS was released. It was being put together in October, so no chance would they have a finalised copy at that point
