So can we really not say what the 3 unreleased tracks are? I'll give you one title for now. "The Lonely Ones"

Nobody actually deserves to suffer like that! I recommend Perfect Remedy in its sweet entirety: the sun will start shining again. No, I think I'll stay firmly ensconced safely back in the '70s, ta Visiting one of these post JC albums up to once a month is quite traumatic enough for me - it may take a fortnight to recover my equilibrium!

Nah! dennis is doin' grand! Equilibrium is overrated anyhow [Btw, I admire your stick-at-it-ness dennis... one post-JC album a month is WAAAAAY more than I can tolerate!

Yep, I got out at the right time. It's on a par with all the other later albums. I get as far as about 2 mins in on each track then skip. Think I was lucky in that I could work backwards with the classics without suffering this and the later stuff. If I hadnt have done , I genuinely dont think I would have been into them at all. A few live gigs beforehand obviously got me hooked.

I have tried to listen to them all but they are just not for me. Respect your opinion though, just I lost interest in studio output with 1982. Once gone as a fan and now revisiting and listening to them through this thread some 30 odd years later , I dont have the same attachment to them. There may well be 10 or more better albums since this (IYO ) I just dont like them nor Back to Back.

I compartmentalize them as a different band, which they were/are, and therefore don't compare them to the real Quo. As Quo Lite and/or a cover band, they're pretty good, and I like a lot of their stuff.

B2B perhaps a little underrated by fans, it improves upon 1982 and I think it superior to the three albums that followed it.
Mess of Blues, Ol Rag Blues, No Contact are good, and Too Close to the Ground is excellent. Your Kind of Love is almost as excellent; Lancaster had some less than stellar songs last few years but YKOL I think is genuinely good. Very bass heavy in production of course, lead-bass if you will.
Win or Lose and Cant be Done are okay, not great but enjoyable enough.
Going down Town tonight is not one of the high points, and the infamous Marguerita Time of course. MT is simply twee, the first real sign of Frame's cheesy tunes. It's that fairground/nursery rhyme synth riff that makes it so much Butlins or Kids TV. He has pursued that nursery rhyme synth jig on many occasions since of course. MT has a decent melody, it's a lite pop tune, it's that twee synth arrangement everytime that skip buttons were invented for. I can only imagine for 70s Quo fans what hearing this must have been like.
Overall, perhaps not a great work, but a good album, not the debacle many paint it as imo.

Well I’ve started doing album reviews on my bands YouTube channel. Obviously the prime reason is to hopefully get more traffic on the channel, and maybe some extra subscribers and hopefully have people check out the bands (Vantage Point) music.
But I am though of course quite into music, and fancied reviewing albums I owned and rating them. So anyway for anyone that is interested, I have reviewed Back to Back, which I quite like, so you are welcome to watch and then leave lots of comments telling me how wrong I am, and that it is dreadful album that was the final nail in the coffin of the mighty Quo …
