Anyone here go? Of all the gigs I could have gone to since my first one, this is the one I regret not getting to. (Because of ITAN, none of my mates wanted to go anymore). I would have loved this line up

I went. The Georgia Satellites were on fire and completely stole the show on the Saturday. Much as I hated to admit it at the time, Quo (although turning in a decent performance) were disappointing in comparison. A great weekend all round.

Wow, Quo played Reading the night (around the same time too) I met my future wife. Good karma man! Anyone else with the planets colliding like that?

Saw them just the once (salvation & sin tour, 90 or 91 I think) , very very very good. They chucked a bit of caroline into the encore. Plenty of Quo fans there. I've heard boots from 86-87 that were insanely good. I've heard later live stuff that was worse. Get the impression that as they made more albums, they played less covers and the shows got worse!

I was at that one. I remember the Satellites being good, so I bought their album and was horribly disappointed. I was by myself, it was just a good night, and at the end of the show it was all fogged up and for a few horrible moments I wondered how long it would take me to find my little car in the large car park. Forutnatly for me I had triangulated it against a factory wall on the perimeter and (bless the owner) the white Transit parked nearby me was still there ... So I wasn't quite last out. Then a scoot through the small hours to the coast where himself and some friends were staying. 30-something years ago. I doubt I would take myself off to a festival by myself now, I was hardier then.

First Quo gig for me, and agree the Satellites were the best band on the day. Loved Bad News and I have been a Magnum fan since that day as they were great too.
From memory, Whatever you Want was punch drunk with PA problems and a great cheer went up when it came back on line. Seem to remember that they also played a little blues jam that included the riff from Little Dreamer! Used to have a boot of Quo’s set, but lost it. No idea if anyone has a copy.

I was there. I really cannot remember much about the support bands.Enjoyed Quo though. I do remember seeing that Scots fella that changed his name to Status Quo. Wonder what happened to him?
