I don't think Amon Duul II gigged in the UK until 1972, so that'd be my guess.

Imagine living around that area in 1971 (Did anyone, btw?) and within a couple of weeks, seeing out 1971 with the Q and then being subjected to whatever Genesis were doing live at that time in 1972? Did they ever have season tickets for venues? Never thought just assumed it was too expensive to contemplate personally. Or did that sort of commerce not get out together in those days?

You would usually read in MM or the NME and turn up at the venue or buy them on the night of the previous gig.

Apparently, Quo were there on Boxing Day in '71. Must have been a contrast to be there for New Year's Eve in '72. One year everybody's hungover & the next they're all pissed!

Even being 4-years-old, I'd still have loved that night. I need a DeLorean, pronto!

Interesting that Big Fat Mama got an outing because she was left sitting at home for the Piledriver tour. Due to feedback issues I remember reading around that time. But the set list doesn't seem hugely different from the one they played when I saw the band for the first time. Although, memory being what it is these days....
