I recently had the opportunity to speak to John Coghlan about John Coghlan's Quo, the reunion tour and more for an episode of my Status Quo fan podcast. pod.fo/e/7013d

Now there's an interview! Whereas Francis' recent one was a rambling, introspective affair, John gave us a nice clear run through of current and past memories, including a meeting with his drum hero Buddy Rich. Very enjoyable.

Cheers Jamie. Honest stuff from John.
A shame that Rossi can seem a bit two faced, though he always said that of himself of course, being a typical two faced Gemini! Not the first time I have heard these things. It must have seemed odd to the others that Francis was endorsing PLC, as such, but I suppose it would have meant no more speculations about further reunions and business as usual for Francis and what he wanted in a way.
Have a connection with Crystal Palace, so that was interesting. Have a connection with RAF Fairford as well. We used to to take my father-in-Law (God rest his soul) to the airshows at Fairford in the 90s. A 'thank you' in a way as he used his knowledge of aircraft engines, having flown and maintained Sunderland Flying Boats in the Far East just after the war and then working on Concorde when back home, to help me look after my motorbikes for a few years. Haven't ridden a motorbike for nearly 20 years now (dangerous things!). They say you never forget how to ride a bike but think I may have forgotten how to ride a motorbike!
I digress...
so nothing especially new with the interview but always enjoyable to hear John's take on Quo matters.
