Decent interview...
Not too sure on his story about the whole Def Leppard thing tbh. Jeff couldn't make it to the Ballybunion show, 10th August 1986, due to missing his connecting flight... which makes more sense due to Status Quo playing Knebworth Park and 2 other shows the day before hand.

"How did you play 'Mystery Song'?" "Not as well as Spud."
He's spot on about the biscuits, though.

Why would he lie about that? When and where did I say he lied? I made a point of saying the reason as to why he missed the show with Def Leppard. it did happen a good 34 years ago, so I'm not surprised that he got some dates wrong.

Your whole reply was that he was wrong and that you're not sure about the Def Leppard thing and then you went on to tell a story of how it happened !? My point is.. He was there, you were not.. If he says that's what happened, then there's a much bigger chance that it happened that way, and not some wikipedia story of the event.

By the way, anyone listened to the Triple J stuff? Not at all bad by the way. I skimmed through the new album today, was a happy surprise. I didn't like the songs that much, but they sounded good and he still obviously still got it, would be interesting to see him play a couple of songs with Quo again

The story has been told before by Def Leppard themselves in a book titled Animal Instinct that was released in 1987. I'd sooner believe a book that was released a year after it had happened rather than the story being retold 34 years down the line. Rossi also got things wrong in his book, and Bob has mentioned before now that he wrote Paper Plane with Rick... but going off of what you said, they MUST be right because they were there and I wasn't... correct? you can climb down from your high horse now pal.

Triple J are pleasant listening blues rock, really quite standard stuff but decent enough. If they played a local small venue I'd go
He doesn't play fast. I think he played in Quo precisely as he was told
