Most of the later albums sound like vanilla so he's never really left the business anyway. I dunno he could mix it up and blast out Modern Romance or Margarita time too pull the punters in More likely turn their stomachs.

I’d just like to ask him why he felt that he had to alienate so many of the loyal fan base that put him there in the first place? Cheers With Francis I don't believe it was deliberate, he's just so totally egocentric he doesn't care what people think. He treats people he works with the same, has since the mid 70s . Quite common among 'front men' I'd guess? [Doesn't make it right, or logical, tho'!] G

[Doesn't make it right, or logical, tho'!] G The front man I've worked most with Peter Maffay (like Germany's Bruce Springsteen) is the complete opposite, an absolute delight and has always bent over backwards to ensure fans love the new music and especially live gigs. I can only really think of a couple of people I've worked with who have really been complete A holes.

I'd test his humor:
Hey Francis, how did you like your mention in the Chicago song, Saturday in the Park?
You know, "A man selling ice cream, singing Italian songs"

Why does the set list stay the same pretty much on every tour, must get boring playing the same songs in the same order on every tour? Elaborating upon this... Marillion have a very loyal fanbase and hold special events for the fans, such as the Marillion Weekends, on which they play unique themed setlists. Knowing that you'd be playing to an audience of only devoted fans that have no need for RAOTW etc., would you play more obscure material? The reunion tours were basically this but there are also many "real fans" that like many of Quo's later songs, most of which either got no live outing at all or disappeared way too quickly. Isn't it frustrating to spend time on writing material that then never gets a chance of being played live?

Could you finish off those four songs that Rick, Alan & John have recorded? And release for a special E.P. for the Hard Core Quo fans. In a recent podcast, John said he hadn’t recorded anything for PLC and hardly knew anything about the tracks .

Alan said it was all recorded apart from the guitar in his latest interview so who knows what’s going on 🤷♀️ Cheers

That reminds me of a World War 2 cartoon I used to enjoy. (No, I wasn't alive back then ... )

Doesn't matter what you ask him.
In his own words, "It's showbiz. It's bullshit, you'll never get the truth!"

In the lead up to his virtual speaking gig (on 8th October), he's just shared what sort of questions he doesn't like...

Hilarious as ever. Maybe the questions you shouldn't ask are: 1) Do you think you'd make an excellent ice-cream vendor? 2) Why do you think you're a comedian? 3) We all know your preferred SQ song is something atrocious. Why doesn't the rest of the human race like it? 4) Is Boris a knob? 5) Why haven't you ever played "Who Asked You" live? And don't you dare to mention 'groove', 'insecure' or 'product'.
