Hoping for a miracle I think. Look at the position of a lot of rock bands, not exactly young lads are they.

You know Quo like to do everything last minute and leave fans in the dark... They definitely aren't happening. Porter just needs to get off his arse and put out a press release about it.
It's a shame Quo don't have a proper manager. Porter is far too laid back. They were silly for choosing him after Davids death in the early 2000s, imo

I reckon Iain Jones would have made a cracking manager. Always walked the band to the stage and stood at the side throughout their entire set before walking them off stage at the end of the show. Can be seen on Ricks side at the Dinkelsbuhl 1986 show. I think he also walked them to the stage at the Sutton Park gig, probably the last show before he left / got sacked, whatever happened.
Let's not forget, he was with the band for the entire Rock 'til You Drop event. Porter and his partner Christine were publicity, probably what he should have stuck to... David Walker turned up at the final show and the band didn't look the slightest bit amused...

It’s not only this band though.
I have tickets for the Quireboys in 4 weeks. No word whatsoever.

I'm not making excuses because, frankly, there aren't any but I imagine there will be discussions (remotely, of course ) with promoters, venues, insurance companies, ticket agencies and all manner of people who have fingers in the big gravy pie. Some band members, particularly Francis with all his previous chest issues, may also be less than keen to go on stage before an audience. Although, having said that, HIS solo tour has been re-scheduled. I've just made the assumption that it won't be going ahead, pretty much from the word 'go. Then there is the thorny subject of refunds to negotiate. They might want to re-schedule but they may find that people now have a different mindset

Exactly the same arguments in other fan communities (though acctual fan events have been more flexible, mainly because they manouevered before they were committed to big deposits and could go Virtual as well), but the big rule that everyone is playing to seems to be, you can't postpone or cancel without losing massive amounts of money (ie uninsured) unless you are forced to by some official edict or another. At the moment in the UK we don't even know what the rule for clubs will be in 4 weeks, though my guess it will be "hide it's the second wave" My concern at the moment is, if the tour ISN'T cancelled, will we be able to go safely, being as my mister is a shielding type. (I know that's not in progress at the moment, but it's "same difference" for people's health things.) We've had our Tull gigs postponed (from September) some time ago, and opted to hang on to the tickets for now.
