Thank you some interesting bits in there. I was a big Peel fan, but I don't remember him particularly playing Quo. I know he liked them, because he was very keen about Paper Plane, and then Francis was reported as sayuing something snarky about this, because he didn't believe Peel was really sincere. Presumably he got the picture in due course. But I went off to college around that time and (for reasons I don't recall) my listening habits changed somewhat, I didn't go off the Peel show but I didn't catch it so often. I was also listening more to Capital Radio. I seem to remember Whtasis Name liked Quo, too. They played a large chunk of the LIVE album one night.

Great interview. He's definitely wrong about the Apollo 440 "sample" however, because it's definitely not his playing. Nevertheless, they still ripped off the riff for Caroline
