I found this on YouTube : It is supposed that this band called The Status Quo was from Arizona (USA) and they recorded this single back in 1966...true?

A new one on me Looks genuine enough and sounds a bit odd. Like trying to replicate the UK 'beat' sound. I dare say someone will know.

aahh it all makes sense now why (Pommie Quo) never cracked America, when Americans obviously misconstrued them with this shitty American The Status Quo and never bothered to listen to the real Quo...maybe should have stuck to Traffic Jam

But it sort makes the story about the origin of the name sound a bit wooly. The Yanks had it first.

Maybe Davy was right and Quo are part of a world wide conspiracy. Status Quo are part of a C.I.A mind control strategy that has worked. They sometimes leave little clues to warn off other intelligence agencies.
Is It Really Me: Mind control in progress. Something's Going on in My Head: Mind control in progress. Broken Man: Mind control in progress, You Don't Own Me: A strong minded individual fighting back. Too Far Gone: A real battle for control. Stones(In My Head) The Guinea Pig is aware that something is wrong.
All these songs involve Lancaster who is a very strong willed individual, was this the reason that he had to go?

Here's the flipside:
According to Discogs, it was their only release.

Seriously that is very strange. It reminds me that when I looked on setlist fm, I think there was some sort of entry for an American Status Quo that I couldn’t understand at the time. Will have to check it out....
