Hi All
Sorry for writing in English, but my Dutch language skills are very limited.
Older fans probably have good memories of the Quo-influenced band De Bako's led by the late Tejo Leijen. Tejo was a big Quo fan as well as a very talented musician, but he was tragically killed in a light plane crash in 2004.
I was fortunate enough to have some contact with Tejo in the early 2000s and, thanks to him, I have copies of De Bako's second and third releases, Het Stamcafe (a maxi-CD single or EP) and Ondergrond, a full length album. Both contain a combination of originals as well as strikingly original takes on the Quo classics.
The one release by De Bako's that I have never heard is their first release, Allemaal Flauwekul, from the mid-90s. Google translate suggests that this translates as something like 'All Nonsense', which sounds just like Tejo's brand of humour!
He did mention the Allemaal Flauwekul album in an old email exchange from many years ago, and called it just a bit of Quo fun!
I would really like to hear this album. If any fan has a copy of De Bako's Allemaal Flauwekul and was prepared to make a copy (or rip the tracks to wav or flac and share them to me), I would be extremely grateful. I'd be happy to meet any costs of course and would be happy to share in return.
Cheers Peter
