Not sure if this should be in the Tribute bands section but the Conventions are essentially Status Quo fan events.... In case anyone on here hasn’t heard, both events have been posponed for a year. So McVention in Glasgow will now be 8 - 9 October 2021 and the FTMO Butlins Minehead Convention will now be 23 - 26 September 2022. Very difficult decision for the organisers but I think it is the best decision.

Thanks Viv
Is less more? 3 days of Quo is too much, even for me. For that reason I'd consider Glasgow, but 2 days is probably too much as well!
My ideal would be one day, finishing very late and with one overnight

Thanks for the info Viv... 2022 will be the the 50th anniversary of Paper Plane and Piledriver. Might be an idea if JCQ played the whole album, as track listed, in their set that year.

That'd be nice, but they hadn't been doing it with Ma Kelly's this year & I haven't heard any suggestion of them doing so with Dog next year so I'm not sure how likely your suggestion is to come to fruition. Mind you, they play at least half of Piledriver every gig, as I recall, so maybe it's not such a leap. If they do so then I hope they include Softer Ride in the set as well.

I think I will have to ask for a refund.
Hopefully it won’t be too much hassle getting one and it’s done promptly. Unless like Ticketmaster that took 9 weeks to process a refund.

I did look in the tribute bands section for this news Viv.. 😬 I've cancelled the hotel in Glasgow and re-booked for next year.. no problem. Shame they've had to cancel but it was expected. Got a feeling that the Diamond will be the next time we get to see a bit of live music.. 🙄

Was yours alright about changing the date? I was wondering if there was going to be a Diamond Quo Day anyway next year. I think Mikey said last year would be the last but then relented because of Jackie’s birthday! Hopefully..... fingers crossed!

Last February's was one of the best. Suppose it's up to Mikey though..
