Take Me Away - the best riff of the 80's
Great riffs lifting (or failing to save) dodgy songs another topic. My vote would goto No Contract or Little Dreamer
Cut me some slack & belavista man - the best of the last 20 years
I struggled thinking about the 90's. Probably go with One Man Band.
So many from the 70's it's unreal !

Anything in Oh Baby! Mystery Song, Hold You Back, Down Down, In My Chair, Gerdundula of course (nothing but riffs ... ), Caroline always gets the honorary mention. Then there are the whole guitar parts running through ... Roll Over, BFW, 4500 Times. That is what it's all about ...

I was wondering why no one would bring Perfect Remedy. People really hate 80's and 90's Quo, sheesh. They have so many great songs in the late 80's and during the 90's, with good motifs.

Caroline. The first time I heard those two guitar parts on the radio that was it! I play guitar myself and Caroline is not complicated but what a sound and when you got a great sound like that, who needs complicated?

Railroad, Don't Think It Matters, & That's A Fact are superb riffs... I also love the riffs in She Don't Fool Me and Dear John... Difficult to pick out faves as there are so many damned good ones. As has been said, it's easier to pick the duffers out.
