Great find, the 12 Gold Bars video.Could anyone tell me where the live clip with Spud on the drums just before Nuff says `heavy` comes from? I would say that it was just a quick insert filmed during the RAOTW tour, but that was years prior to the 12 Gold Bars album release... either way, it won't exist now whatever it was. edit; Possibly shot during the Australia leg of the Rockin tour.

Depends who shot it I guess? Is this an Australian promo video then (going by the dollars); if so it would presumably have been put together locally and footage would presumably have been from either a local television source or from the record company's local division? Australia does in the scheme of things seem to have been quite late off the wiping bandwagon (look at Countdown) but it could be late enough to have survived, even if it's simply a clip filmed for a news broadcast of something, as it's at the tail end of the wiping. It's certainly more likely to survive in this form than as part of anything it was used in. Plus if it was available for making this promo, then would it really have been wiped that late if it had hung around for a few years before? I'm assuming there's no record of anything being broadcast of any significance, or anything being recorded professionally by local television or otherwise? Which does make it likely to be a bloke with a camera recording a few minutes for a news report or something. It's certainly interesting nonetheless and worth speculating on, simply for how little we have.

Since I'm now at the point where time and days are meaningless concepts, I'm having a look through the ABC archive listings.

'STATUS QUO PERFORMS "GET DOWN" ......eh?
Anyway cheers again hershie for the info on the Aussie clips. Does this mean that they are for sale from the broadcasting company? And what does CA mean? Possibly Canberra I guess!

I'm not sure; I'm never the best with this stuff.
I stopped looking but I'm sure there's probably more. I've found another list that someone has compiled elsewhere, with a couple of interesting bits to it.
There's also Slade footage from the Randwick Racecourse gig that we have Quo audio of.
Also again mentions of the Down The Dustpipe and Tune To The Music holdings in this list too.
I feel as though it may be worth someone getting in touch to see if they have something we don't?

Do you have any contact info for them? I'll drop them an email regarding it. All depends what the archival team are like, really. I've dealt with nice ones in the past that are happy to supply information on what they have / format etc. Some archivers can be pretty arsey with you. I remember a guy called Gary that does work for the BBC and ITV sorting out old footage. Has a right show off attitude about what he has etc and will gloat as if to say "you're never going to see this". One thing springs to mind is that he had footage of Quos performance on totp of Paper Plane. Didnt have proof however.

I'm pretty sure the Randwick Racecourse (Sydney, AUS) gig with Slade is from the same venue as an interview with Rossi, Parfitt, Lancaster & Coghlan that appeared on YouTube a while back - don't know if it's still on there (if not, i have a copy). Broadcast by GTK at the time.
Sorry to go OT!
edit: i've had a wee look on YouTube, and it's not there. I will upload it as soon as i can.

His YouTube channel has the Stafford '77 stuff longer and better than I've seen elsewhere but with a huge watermark over it. I'll PM you with what I've found regarding contact details! Thank you!

The second post of possible finds is all GTK stuff so it makes sense!

hershie that's the one! And that Stafford footage he uploaded exists elsewhere in archives on proper video reel formats, rather than whatever his source was. Cheers! I'll let you know what archive sites I normally got to for old footage.
