Youtubes algorithm mate... it's fucking dreadful most of the time and incorrectly copyrights things and there is nothing you can do about it really.
I run an unofficial Quo channel so every now and again with new releases coming out, old videos will become blocked worldwide... like my upload of the Birmingham NEC 1989 LaserDisc footage. Disappeared with new copyrights being placed on the audio from that gig.
I also run a Frantic Four facebook page where i upload bits of old promo videos on to or even live footage, and that gets claimed... however, every now and again I get notifications from UMG to say that have removed the claim from the video.

In the past I used to get a 'Matched 3rd party content' message in some stuff, even though there never was, it seemed to be an excuse to add advertising to my videos, thats why I always put 'no original recordings used as a backing' on mine, and never had any issues since.
Cant imagine you will have any problems, there are millions of covers on YT, they would have some job going after all of them. If only. I remember getting a strike against my channel for a Supertramp cover. I was quite pissed off, it also explained why there was barely anything by the band on YT, because Roger Hodgson (ex-member, but writer and singer of most of their hits) was pretty strict with this. I'm not sure if he's still like this but it was a bit of a shock given his love and peace image! Of course, now that labels supply YT with music, finding and sharing songs by the band isn't an issue any more. Back then it was though: One guy uploaded a video of him playing drums along with 'Babaji', then just the drum part... in the end, he lost his channel because of 3 strikes & you're out I also once had somebody a copyright claim on something that was 100% my creation. Eventually I issued a counter-notice and the claim was removed.

Hi Frozen hero!
Thank you for sharing your experiences. Well, then you have had your fair share of YT copyright claims. Interesting that they were arguing with you about your own creation. For our part, this year continues as it began, the claims keep on coming. But we just let it be.

Hi Frozen hero! Thank you for sharing your experiences. Well, then you have had your fair share of YT copyright claims. Interesting that they were arguing with you about your own creation. I think it was just an automated detection of something that simply wasn't there. I looked around and it seems this company was notorious for claiming things and hoping nobody would complain...
