The SSE Hydro - Glasgow on the 26th June A few questions for the locals / regular attendees 1) Is there ample parking for these events at the attached multi storey - or is it first come first serve? Will we be safe arrivng at around 5 PM? 2) Any decent food outlets near by? 3) Running times? I see doors open at 6.30 but what time does it actually kick off / finish? 4) Guess Quo will do an hour? - Is there any one else on first 5) LS will play Freebird won't they? Decades of waiting won't be wasted?

5) Yes, and the singer will say "What song is it you want to hear Glasgow?" before they play it.

5) They might play Sweet Home A. as well, but it's still a secret.

now that I have seen the question "will Lynyrd Skynyrd play Freebird?" in print, I think I've finally completed the internet.

Decades of waiting won't be wasted? 1) Yes, there is ample parking. The multi storey has space for around 1,600 cars and will cost about £12. There is also street parking a short walk from the venue on both sides of the river. 2) There are food outlets in the Hydro itself but otherwise you've got the Rotunda (which has a variety of restaurants inside it) as well as India Quay restaurant and the Radisson Red nearby. It's a ten minute walk to the city centre if these aren't sufficient. 3) Check the Hydro's Twitter page or the event page on Facebook as they (The Hydro) are usually quite good at posting the stage times. 4) Quo will most likely have an hour long set however, Massive Wagons are on before them. Yes, The Wagons will play 'Back To The Stack'. 5) Lynyrd Skynyrd always end their show with 'Free Bird' and this show will be no exception.

now that I have seen the question "will Lynyrd Skynyrd play Freebird?" in print, I think I've finally completed the internet. That particular question was rather tongue in cheek. I have never seen LS and said I would not go to Quo again after the Frantics, but as they have got together, Freebird is the one song that would drag me along. Always wanted to hear this live. Not overly fussed about the rest

Saw BlackBerry Smoke on Saturday 15, and Charlie Starr (lead singer) mentioned the LS gig and was looking forward to it.
I only own one album by BlackBerry Smoke, the rather excellent "Holding All the Roses", which they didn't play a single song from. The night was actually quite underwhelming, they had their moments but all in all I'd expected a lot more from them and felt disappointed.
The merchandise was good though. I didn't buy any tees, but there was 1 that summarises the evening splendidly: BlackBerry Smoke, Too loud for country, too country for rock. (Sorry, Francis, but) I want to rock.

Saw Skynyrd in Berlin on tuesday with Blackberry Smoke - fantastic show both bands were excellent! I was there too. If there was a standing area I’d have gone to The Hydro too Blackberry Smoke are now my go to band filling the space that used to be taken up by Quo

First time I've seen Quo since Rick died. Mixed emotions but was better than I expected. The air guitar even came out of its case for the classics.
Oriental still feckin hangs in there like a bad smell though
Think Rain should have been retired. Its completely wrong without Rick singing it.
New songs, meh.
