I went to the first night at S*uthampt*n Gaumont, it was fantastic. On the tour poster at the top of this post it mentions that they tried Liverpool but were not successful, was this because the fans wrecked the venue in past gigs?

The NEC gig on the 11th May was my first ever Quo gig. However, I don't remember it being promoted as a "heat" tour - perhaps because they were so far on from the point of album release. I think it was just put across as the National Tour / Fabulous Tour using the F*ck Nose logo, completely distancing itself from the Heat album Aye, that's what I remember - not so much a promoting an album tour as a kind of between albums tour

There were two things being heavily promoted for this tour. One was a Pye Compilation in ltd edition Red Vinyl. More thought had been put into the track listing and they used near enough the Quo written logo on the cover. Hence putting Flexi discs on seats on the Tour. It was definitely being fully endorsed by the band. Secondly the first official Book by John Shearlaw was being heavily promoted during the Tour. I guess they had to have something to push for the Tour.

We went to the opening gig at Wembley. It was good to hear them playing a few tracks from the more recent albums alongside the staples of the set.
Brother's car broke down on the way home. Gear stick came off in his hand...the good ol'AA to the rescue.
Had been given J Shearlaw's book as a gift that year and bought the Vinyl 'Just For The Record'.

Wednesday 13th June Cardiff, 15 years old skipped school and queued outside all day with a few mates. Remember the rush when the doors opened and ran to the front of the stage. Watched in awe as the band I’d listened too in my bedroom every night were blowing me away with the raw power. Loved every minute of that night only had to wait until 2013 Hammersmith to get that feeling again.
