I have none, just starting to get into music as a nipper. I see JC has been posting a few bits about this too. "Forty years ago tonight was the opening night of the 'Heat' UK Tour at Wembley Arena. Due to overwhelming demand for tickets a further three shows were eventually added at Hammersmith Odeon to make this Quo biggest UK Tour to date."

It wasn't a tour year for me, as I hadn't graduated to Fan yet.
But I do remember I bought Accident Prone soon after it came out (in late 1978).
This was the first new Quo song I had bought since Paper Plane (not because I didn't like them, just because I was living away from home and away from my hi fi).
It was a further nudge on the slippery slope to Hammy Odean and true fandom.
(Heat is one of my unfavouritest Quo albums, apart from this track.)

Got in venue 10:00 am. Tout manager asked if we could help out putting a Newspaper and Fexi Disc on all seats inside. about 1pm the whole band arrived to start sound check. Stayed there including backstage with them until 6pm when we went to Stage Bar and they prepared themselves. Great memories and I do remember everything.

odd theres nothing else from that show, considering the audio was straight from the sound board... same goes for footage from the Crystal Palace '84 gig

To track it down.... If there was anything i doubt it was much due to it being from a news reel... be lucking if the broadcast reel still exists in the TV archives

Saw them for the first time in a hall at the City Hall, Newcastle (I saw them at Reading Festival '78). By that time I getting good at getting tickets near the front so was only a few rows back on Lancaster's side of the stage. I don't remember much but I do remember Oh What A Night and thinking "Hmmm, that doesn't fit!"

The NEC gig on the 11th May was my first ever Quo gig. However, I don't remember it being promoted as a "heat" tour - perhaps because they were so far on from the point of album release.

I think it was just put across as the National Tour / Fabulous Tour using the F*ck Nose logo, completely distancing itself from the Heat album
