maybe rossi calls an end to the watered down version of Quo and remains on a solo journey...

Heard the snippets...
It's Irish country music. Nathan Carter type stuff

Although I like many on here, aren't overly interested in what Quo have done since Rick's passing, the solo stuff and autobiography from FR (and the solo chat Tour) have certainly got me interested in the whole thing...maybe it's FR, and not labelled as Quo (After Rick's passing, the way it should have been, in hindsight)

This link worked for me for listening to snippets of the new album, via itunes. Mrs Flittersnoop , this might interest you if you can access itunes. NB. There are no arrows to the left to click on but tap a tracks and it plays a bit of it. rossirickard.lnk.to/WeTalkTooMuchHaving heard these snippets, definitely not for me, and I like country. Sadly not this type of country. Good luck to them.

Thanks for the link.
I really hope he has fullfilled his need to play this type of music by doing this album, in that way there might be slight chance the new Quoalbum could have atleast some decent tracks.

I said when this was talked about months ago, that this might be more of interest to me than a Rossi solo album, don't know why, just how I felt at the time. I suppose like many I just want Quo to be Quo, with light and shade of course, covering a few genres yes, but QUO. This always had the potential to be completely left field and removed from Quo or Rossi as solo and therefore rightly or wrongly can and will be judged on it's own merit. Any album Quo release gets judged against every album they have ever released, as with every band, obvious, but also, rightly or wrongly, both Francis and Ricks solo albums got judged in a similar way, both OSAAT and OAO had tracks on them that sounded very Quo and could have easily been on any Quo album from 70's to today. This I feel will be fresh, completely different, maybe just flashes and hints of the melody in Quo that Rossi has supplied time and again. I've never really been into to country, but there is always the odd track that gets you, like lots of genres, if its a good song and done well, only Rap and thrash/death metal I think has failed too reel me in, just not for me at all. I'm just stating the bleeding obvious I know, but I've always liked the jigs and bounce with Quo, Roadhouse, Gerdundula, Hold You Back, Burning Bridges, Twenty Wild Horses - apart from opening verse, but the riff and chorus, I like it and if there is a hint of that in the tracks on this album and some good songs, then I look forward to hearing it. Will probably try and pre- order in next week or so.

Is Rearrange the one written many years ago and demoed by Quo?

Thanks for the link cg! Not for me either on first listen to those snippets but I wonder if I might like some of the tracks if I gave them more listens? I might try them again if any other links come out later but won't be pre ordering this one.

Managed a listen.
Sounds like the album Frame has always wanted to make. Good on him, still making music at near 70.
Not my cup of tea. Some broadly nice melodies, but that line dancing country style is probably my least favourite music to listen to.

Cheers for the Link It's OK in a 'solo orientated' type way, and after years of Francis going on about this type of stuff (and slipping more than a few into the Quo Back catalogue) I hope it does ok, perhaps he could (and should) of gone down this route far earlier...and had two 'careers' running together?? One for the collection I'd say

Yikes. Sounds like Aquostic with different songs. Not for me, but I'm sure some will enjoy it.
