Complete bollocks... different bridge and the markings on the scratch-plate aren't even correct.
Can't stand the Quo Experience either. Shite, cheese-fest

I am frankly astounded at this. What on earth was his mother thinking?

It was a charity gig, according to their fb page. And Tommy played for 2 numbers. WYW and BBJ. Here's a closer picture of the guitar.

Agreed Davy. They've tried to make it look like it, but it clearly isn't.

I was actually at this gig, and I was blown away! And tommy coming on to play... wow what a suprise for everyone, the smile on tommy and Lily’s face was great to see all night! The twins seemed to get on really well with the band.
So what if the guitar isn’t exact? It’s a facelift. That’s what RICK designed them for!
Why don’t you just appreciate the fact that tommy enjoyed going up on that stage and rocking out?
I’ve never known any other bands fans to be as bit chy about eachother as you lot!

Welcome to our forum. And its great that you enjoyed the gig. I'm sure the twins had a wonderful time. It must have been very exciting for them. And to feel a connection with their father. I can't speak for other members, but seeing a 10 year old child playing with a tribute Quo band - made me uncomfortable. Were the band taking advantage of them? I wondered. But this is my opinion. I am not saying that they delieberately were. Of course the children miss their dad but simply copying him rather than finding their own path is life is a bit concerning to me. Maybe I'm old fashioned, over protective.... this is simply my views. I don't know if you've been reading this forum or not. But some members here are curious to know where Rick's guitar has gone. And the OP speculated if this was his guitar or not. And other fans revealed that it wasn't. None of us object to Tommy playing a replica guitar. My only wonder is, why did you join up if all you want to do is moan at us.

I don't think that the comments in this thread have been bitchy. I wasn't speaking from a fan perspective but as a father and seeing a young boy up there made me feel very uncomfortable. If I'd been a member of the band involved I certainly wouldn't have gone along with it as it just feels exploitative to me.

Weird, I'm not a parent but I just thought it looked like fun for the lad. He's 10? That's not a tiny weeble. And everyone starts off copying someone else's stuff, "dad's" or otherwise ...Hardly anything is as much fun as playing Quo music.

I presume it was some kid in the audience or something. Entirely different from the son of a long time and now deceased band member. For me it smelt of the band using the Parfitt name to gain publicity, quite what the boy's mother was thinking I have no idea. It smacks more of the behaviour of Miss Beedon.

Agree ..a band called ‘The Quo Experience’ with the young fella up there... to me there’s just something that’s not quite right there. Maybe I’m wrong... but

Makes me laugh when people say theyre a great tribute act...
There is no stage presence and they cannot captivate their audience. Far from the Quo Experience IMO
