Those were the days... you could find excellent albums on sale at the record stores, a golden moment to explore new ways... If I could play keyboards, I'd create those epic, going on for ever, growing, turning to silent parts and making a 40-minutes noise fiesta.... Yea those were the days for sure...Shulze's albums Picture Music, Moondawn, Cyborg... Tangerine Dreams Phaedra, Rubycon, Ricochet, Encore...etc etc

I know nothing about it mate, but i'm always willing to listen to things I don;t know yet, I have found plenty of wonderful things that way. So if you could give me some clues as to what artists to look for it would be great

Big fan of... Collective soul. You should check out lead singer Ed Roland's side project, known as Ed Roland and the Sweet Tea Project.
Devils and Darlings...great album. There's a couple of tracks you can listen to in the link.

ZZtop, motorhead, metallica, pink floyd, masters of reality, black sabbath, free, bad company, rush, acdc, Robert Plant, etc Also like a lot of 80's metal & 90's grunge / stoner rock.
I think I have very narrow tastes....I keep trying to broaden what I listen to, but it never really works! I only seem to succeed in discovering yet more rock bands!
Listening to Clutch as I write this...
