Nice to see someone liking Vangelis/Jarre... I like synth music quite a bit. And also like quite some classical music (Beethoven, Handel, Shostakovich, Mozart and some others)

I recommend this album of his Donald Trumps Are Dancing I used to play it to send me to sleep when I was in the RAF very relaxing as for Van Gelis 'Heaven and Hell' and Albido 0.39 two superb albums IMHO. This below is my favourite piece of classical by far from Excalibur O'Fortuna.....

Nice Geoff ! And O yea, I sure do know Tomita ! And He indeed made a very good version of Carl Orff's Oh Fortuna. Some of my other favorite synth artists include Tangerine Dream, Edgar Froese, Michael Garrison, Free System Projekt, Syndromeda, Ian Boddy

Hi All, Victor and Whoppa, Never really listened to those artists you both mentioned other than those I mentioned but I dare say I could have listened somewhere along the line during my years but could not put a name to any. I have never really been into classical till later life I did get the Ancient Mariner and a Nice album(Elegy) though but rarely listened to them......

Vangelis and Jarre, as well as Tangerine Dream, and the Klauses, Schönning and Schulze. Oh nice Whoppa...I have some albums by Klaus Schönning ! I do like certain things from Klaus Schulze, but mainly the seventies and early eighties work (goes more or less for Tangerine Dream too, although they made some good albums later too)

Those were the days... you could find excellent albums on sale at the record stores, a golden moment to explore new ways... If I could play keyboards, I'd create those epic, going on for ever, growing, turning to silent parts and making a 40-minutes noise fiesta....
