I thought after listening to it so far where I’d rank it. Well although a couple of songs are very good it doesn’t rank that highly but let’s remember Quo soared with the giants. My initial reaction is better than any solo work by Francis, Alan, John, Rhino or Andy. Not that is that great a hurdle. It probably ranks overall below Under the Influence, Party ain’t over yet and Heavy Traffic, 1982 as a whole. And not in the league of the period 70-81. So I hold it’s decent, above average release. Few great songs and a few clunky songs. Not surprising when Rhinos playing do they sound like Status Quo. Several could have been on the last couple of Status Quo albums and that makes them bang average at best. I’m no fan of Rhinos meat and two veg bass playing. I'd find it hard to compare it to any Quo album, it's just so Rick. That said , of the albums you mention....there's only really Rick's Shine On from UTI I'd want to listen to, two from party....so I'm fairly sure I prefer Rick's album to those two. It's already value for money, as I've listened loads and will listen loads more. That's also been true of Quo albums over the years, which I've then not wanted to go back to. In other words, it's way too soon to try and rank this. But it's very enjoyable, for me anyway!

Mine has not been out of the cd player, love it, its a great solo album ( which i think we all agree wouldve been even better & longer had Rick still been around ) Ive always thought id judge it for what it is -Rick Parfitt - solo, not Rick Parfitt - lets compare this to Status Quo & maybe thats why i like it as much as i do. I agree with an earlier post it beats FR`s solo stuff hands down, to me its Rick and his love for the music styles & genres hes tried to cover with this release, as i say ive never thought of comparing it to Quo & to my mind if you listen to it & do that - youve bought it for the wrong reason imo.

Thumbs up from me - as Rossiswaistcoat said, its nice to be able to hear Rick singing again. Well done RPJ, good job, you've done your Dad and all his fans proud.

Wasn't that keen on long distance love until had the album. I hate Quo sounding poppy, so I'm glad Quo didn't record this. It would have been too clean. But as a solo song I just enjoy it for what it is - and how it sublimly rocks over the pop.

We could do a GoFundMe campaign? Seller seems dodgy... Might not be what he's making it out to be.

... like Dave’s pissed mate? ;-) Exactly! NEVER trust a Glaswegian's 'mate' as they'll always be some dodgy character to say the least.
