U2..
Everything else is a far distance 2nd....They reclaimed their crown imo...
ACDC were fucking "meh" at best this year...But that had a lot to do with the crowd. "Oh get into my snapchat babe, they might play Thunder and lightning at any second" ....The words I heard in Dublin....
Rock is dead sadly....

Will you go and watch Maiden if/when they tour next year?

By my normal standards, I had a very quiet year: AC/DC, The Who, David Gilmour, Quo, Eric Clapton, U2, UFO, Judas Priest

I know what you mean about 'meh' though, musically they were... Nothing like their heyday according to the you tube videos I saw afterwards. But at the gig, it was magic. The audience were just so full of love for the band, jumping and bouncing and singing along with joy, (just like the audience reaction for Quo at Hammy, but obviously on a bigger scale being at Wembley). I didn't even notice Brian getting the first verse of Shoot to thrill wrong because we were all singing the right words! It was fantastic!

Ive already got over a dozen gigs booked for next year.

After a rather busy year in 2014, the busiest of a few busy ones in a row, I only made it to 3 gigs this year: John Coghlan's Quo at The Brook, Southampton ; Johnny Dowd at The Prince Albert, Brighton ; Graham Parker & The Rumour back at The Brook on their last ever reunion tour - absolutely brilliant but a bit sad too. However, I've already got The Temperance Movement tickets for January at Portsmouth Pyramids & plan to see John Coghlan's Quo back at The Brook in February. I was tempted to pop up to London in November to see Blackberry Smoke & Tedeschi Trucks but I really can't be arsed with anything that's not reasonably local - unless there's another Quo reunion, of course!
