Was this the gig you'd bought tickets for thinking it was Aquostic paradiseflats ? Interesting to hear your views. Sad too. Glad I wasn't tempted. Yes it was curious. Mind, I’m still in hospital at present and the gig is on Wednesday. I am hopefully of getting out tomorrow as long as I continue to improve and don’t have a temperature spike between now and tomorrow lunchtime. We shall see.

Of course you haven't been yet. I really hope all goes well and you get to go as I'm interested to see what you think in reality.

2nd was the better position for ROLD... Will never understand why it was thrown into the middle of the set. It was put there in 1997/98 for the Whatever You Want tour for the first time in their set after it's absence for a few tours and should never have stayed there. I'm still a bit miffed that the Frantic Four never played it on their reunion tours It's a funny thing I have heard a few fans over the years saying they don't like that one. For me it's still my favorite track from the band. Though Francis mucking about during the solo grates on me at times these days. Was it really out of the set for a few years? yes it was! How come I didn't throw a tantrum on the floor of the lobby? It must've been because the rest was so good. Or maybe, like Roadhouse, if I hear Quo, I hear ROLD, whether they play it or not.

Surely you cannot all be denial ? The set has to FLOW.... remember. All about the flow with those big four songs sending the crowd into a frenzy. Peace and love and consistency to all. Bit like when you go for a curry..look at the menu and then order the same main you always have lol.
What is this "menu" thing you speak of?
PS I think I'm reverting. I keep ordering "meat madras". You're not supposed to say that now.

It also falls down to the fact that Quo used to have 3 strong singers in the band, meaning the setlist could have more variety and gave each person a break... Then it became a two man band and the setlist went downhill from there

Love the original and 70s live versions, but you can hear the song degenerating over the years with it being recurrently horrible on every 2000s version I've heard. However I must admit I was positively surprised by the version on the LNOTE DVD, which sounded far better (at least lead guitar wise) than those versions & actually regained some of what I liked about the song in the first place. Sacrilege, I know... Anyway, for that reason I don't lament its absence from the FF tours.

Play what they like ,it'll still be the same old rubbish - they can't rehash old FF stuff as the fan base just simply isn't there any more, nor would the happy clappy brigade appreciate it ...and the rest - well there are better bands to see , I am afraid.

I remember thinking in 2016, "this isn't as bad as it was last year" but I didn't feel like it had come "back". In a way I wish they had done it, because I keep thinking "must go back and hear how they did it on the FF gigs" and then "Oops, they didn't do it on the FF gigs" and feeling a bit sorry. On the NIGHT I was having too much fun with what they did play.
