Back to the OP, yes I do remember the Robinson Crusoe series. Don't think I ever saw the end though as it was shown in the school holidays and for some reason, we went back to school before anyone else....

Yes, I was a child when I saw it, who lived in South London where most accents were either like the Quo's or middle class English. We had no TV either. I'm trying to remember the first Scottish accents I ever heard. I have a memory of the radio version of Dr Finlay's Casebook but that was after I'd seen this film. Agree now, that its terrible.
