Booker T was inspiring John Fogerty, and Jon Lord is a magician with that Hammond... He always was. He seemed like a person full of warmth and humour. He is sorely missed. And Bob too.

John was one of the kindest people and totally lacking in ego, we had some great times over the years including some Hammond battles and him getting me to sing Smoke on the Water live with him on organ. A great talent and one I miss on so many levels. Egos in this industry are all too prevalent.

I reckon the first 57 seconds of Highway Star from Made In Japan should have been on the laser disc stuck on the Voyager space craft..we'd have had a visitor or two by now,I mean,Tibetan chanting's hardly going to warrant a 235 billion mile round trip.

I had a saying, "Keyboard players in rock bands, first against the wall when the revolution comes. Except Jon Lord." Also special dispensation for piano players, because they can't lean on chords.
I never really got Green Onions, either, but this makes more sense of it!
