Just seen the "Rock The Boat" cruise off from Sydney harbour and about to fly back to Melbourne. The opera house gig was a stunner - packed house and they let the audience stand (which most did throughout). Beaut day in Sydney today after the gig, perfect for the promo photo shoot on the opera house steps this morning. Great gig, full report to follow.

Glad the fans had a great time at the Sydney gig.... there are very few places on the planet to better Sydney Harbour on a fine day and heading down the harbour and through 'the heads' out to sea, on a cruise ship, is a moment to treasure. The Rock the boat cruise would actually be a beauty as there are some really good Aussie bands on board.

Plenty of Quo fans aboard the cruise so should be a couple of good gigs on the boat too, looking forward to hearing about those and then of course we have the final show of the Aussie tour to enjoy next week in Melbourne.

Quite amazed how good the Sydney gig turned out. Expected great sound but thought it might be too staid to let the whole audience stand up! And I didn't expect the hall to be full either.
Richie actually does a good job on LL, can take or leave the Aquoastic version of DDMC by Andy - though to be honest I have never liked the song at all.
Noted Casey Donovan (new Coles girl)in the audience and Francis was genuinely surprised to see her.
Look it isn't the old Quo - but a full house, great songs and an energetic show by guys who looked like they were having fun. A lot of hardcore fans were there and the band left to an ovation.
99% of the crowd left very happy - surely that isn't a bad thing?

I thought it was an excellent show. Its not the F4 nor is it supposed to be. It was a very energetic performance with everyone giving it 100%. A good mixture of songs and Richie and Leon did an admireable job. Rhino seems to have really ramped it up as he was playing like a man possesed. Frame was simply excellent, working the crowd and getting everyone up (including me lol). Not as loud as previous tours but the level was fine and the sound in the Opera House was great. If this is Quos last tour of Oz then I can rest assured they finished on an absolute high! p.s. please come back.

Good to see some positive reviews of what was an excellent modern Quo performance. Still in recovery mode after three gigs in three days plus interstate travel, but will review more fully soon!

Not bad for a tribute band.

What did you guys make of Travis Collins ? I hadn't heard of him prior to the gig. I thought he did a top job. Always hard sitting through the support act as you just want to get to the main act, but I quite enjoyed his performance.

Would have been better if he sang more and waffled on less.

We thought he was great, an authentic Aussie act with some good songs and great storytelling. He shifted a lot of CDs across the three gigs I hear... (and Quo shifted a lot of merch too, especially in Sydney).
